7T and local businesses team up to sponsor annual event benefitting Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation
FORT WORTH, TX — Joe T Garcia’s in Forth Worth welcomed over 200 guests at the annual “Fiesta and Goal” event benefitting the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation and its efforts to provide grants that cover out-of-pocket expenses that families will incur as part of the cost of treating seriously ill or physically challenged children. Following a year that raised $228,000, this year’s event was another success thanks to participants that were able to battle inclement weather to be present for and support the occasion.
As a native Texan, Dalton left Katy to lead the TCU Horned Frogs as quarterback, turning the 2010 season into one that resulted in the school’s first Rose Bowl victory. Now entering his seventh NFL season as a two-time Pro Bowl selection and a starter for the Cincinnati Bengals, he and Jordan, his college sweetheart, use their public platform to spread awareness while investing their time into serving families that are truly in need of help. As Jordan Jones stated,
“You really see the direct effect the Foundation has on families. That’s where my heart was when we started the journey. They’re so appreciative of anything that can be done.”
In between seasons, the Daltons spend their time near family in North Texas. During much of the off-season, the Foundation serves children in Ohio, Texas and other parts of the United States. Specifically, “Fiesta and Goal” is an event that helps children in the Fort Worth area and raises money for the foundation’s Pass It On Fund. As stated at AndyDalton.org, the Pass It On Fund provides financial assistance to families in need with chronically ill children. This fund serves as a financial hand-up to allow families to strengthen their abilities to care for themselves and enhance their stability, security, and quality of life.
Following Fiesta and Goal, the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation will host their Celebrity Waiter Night at Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hall of Mirrors on June 5, 2017.
